Top Artsy Things to do Around Town in June

Annapolis Arts Week feature three annual events – Paint Annapolis, First Sunday Arts Festival, and Annapolis Arts & Wine Festival – while also spotlighting ongoing gallery exhibits, block parties, festivals, live music, and performing arts. All looking to shine a light on Annapolis’ diverse arts scene. Taking place all throughout downtown Annapolis from June 1 through Jun 10 starting at 9:00 am.
Chesapeake Blues is a 2D and mixed media exhibit hosted by the Annapolis Arts Alliance at The Annapolis Smokehouse. Keeping with the maritime theme, the artists explore the term “blues”. The exhibit will be on display from June 1 through June 30 from 11:00 am – 12:00 am.
A Breath of Fresh AIR at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts feature the Hall’s Artist-in-Residence work. Patrons can visit the artists and their work in their studios throughout the week. Monday through Saturday from June 14 to August 25 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.
“The ART of Story Telling: A Narrative Show” is a unique exhibit that uses visual art to tell a story. The show opens with a reception to meet the artists on May 6 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. The public can enjoy the exhibit through June 24.
A Brush with Nature by the Annapolis Watercolor Club Group Show is at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. This exhibit includes subject of wildlife, sea life, birds, beasts, flowers, and landscapes. It is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Maryland Society of Portrait Painters All Members Exhibit will be at the Galleries at Quiet Waters Park Mondays and Wednesdays through Fridays from May 23 through June 8 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. A wide variety of media will be on display including oils, pastels, charcoal, pencil, and sculpture.
